A block of rooms has been reserved at the conference hotel for ISAIM 2008. To qualify for the special block room rate (rates from 189.00 USD/night), mention the "Department of Mathematical Sciences group" if making reservations by phone. This special rate can also be used when you make reservations via the hotel's special conference web site.

The cutoff date for reserving a room as part of the block reservation is December 2nd. After that date the block of rooms will be released.

Special notes on hotel reservations

  • Please book your hotel accommodations as early as possible! Hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area will book quickly due to the Orange Bowl taking place around the same time as the conference.

  • Special discounted group rates for the conference hotel are not available for New Years Eve, but there may be internet rates available for that night on the Hilton Hotels website.

  • Additionally, the Best Western Oceanside Inn near the beach quoted rates for New Years Eve at $159.00 (as of Sept. 21st). You might check with them to see if rooms are still available at that rate for New Years Eve.

Car Rental Discount

ISAIM 2008 has made special arrangements with Avis Car Rentals to provide a discount on car rentals. The ISAIM 2008 Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number is J947092. Car reservations can be made on-line through this link which will take you directly to the Avis reservation site and automatically supply the AWD number to their rental system.

Alternatively, reservations can be made by phone by calling Avis directly at 1-800-331-1600. Please mention the ISAIM-2008 AWD number when making your reservations by phone to receive the best car rental rates available. Symposium participants outside the US and Canada who are unable to use the 800 number, may email Jessica Bello at Avis for assistance.
